Appointed as the Rector of Kırklareli University by Presidential decree, Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak received her rectorship warrant at a ceremony held at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
The warrant was presented to Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak by the President of YÖK, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. Expressing her awareness of the responsibility that comes with her new position, Prof. Dr. Ak emphasized that they will work with dedication for the sustainable development of Kırklareli University and to further strengthen its presence both nationally and internationally.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Ak stated:
“I would like to extend my gratitude to our President, H.E. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to our President of the Council of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, and to the members of YÖK for the trust they have placed in me and for deeming me worthy of this honorable duty.
It is a great honor and, at the same time, a significant responsibility for me to assume the rectorship of a dynamic and development-oriented institution such as Kırklareli University. I will exert my utmost effort to fulfill this duty in line with the principles of academic freedom, scientific ethics, and social responsibility.
Our goal is to transform our university into a higher education institution that stands out not only at the national level but also on the international stage, distinguished by its quality education and research activities. I believe that we will move forward decisively on this path together with our academic and administrative staff”.
The President of YÖK, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, also congratulated Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak on her new appointment and extended his best wishes for success.
