As part of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Science Café events, Kırklareli University Science Communication Office organized a conference titled “The Palestinian Issue” on Thursday, 23 October 2025.
The conference was attended by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Eylem Özkaya Lassalle, Head of the Science Communication Office Dr. Haluk Keskin, along with academic and administrative staff, students, and members of the public.
Held at the Kırklareli Public Education Center Conference Hall, the event featured a presentation by Dr. Halil İbrahim Erol from the Department of History, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, titled “A Deep-Rooted Problem: The Historical Background of Palestine.”
The conference addressed the historical evolution of the Palestinian issue, the political and social dynamics of the region, and its continuing impact today. Participants had the opportunity to examine the issue from a broad historical perspective.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
