Organized by our University's International Relations Coordination Office, the “Spring Semester International Students Breakfast Event” was held for international students studying at TÖMER (Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center), as well as students admitted to our University within the scope of the Orhun Exchange Program and bilateral cooperation agreements (MoU) for the 2026 Spring Semester.
The event was held with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Eylem Özkaya Lassalle, Prof. Dr. Murat Gençbay, and Prof. Dr. Meryem Çamur Demir, our Rector’s Advisors Prof. Dr. Seçkin Yavuzdoğan and Prof. Dr. İskender Gümüş, our Faculty Deans, our Secretary General Ahmet Şimşek, and our International Relations Coordinator Prof. Dr. Berna Ak Bingül.
During the breakfast program, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, our Rector Prof. Dr. Rengin Ak delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the significance of international students for our University. Stating that our students, who choose Kırklareli University from all over the world, make valuable contributions to the internationalization vision of our institution, our Rector expressed that each student serves as a "cultural ambassador" representing their respective countries and cultures. In her speech, the Rector emphasized that the social adaptation processes of the students are as important as their academic development and wished them a successful and productive semester.
At the event, views were exchanged regarding international students' adaptation to university life, academic expectations, and social opportunities. The students also expressed their satisfaction with the opportunities provided to them, stating that such gatherings strengthen their sense of belonging.
The event, which aimed to increase interaction by bringing together students from different cultures, concluded after a commemorative photo session.
